Well, that sucks!
Tuesday: 8/18/2009
I got up this morning at 5:30am and started to prepare to try and go to work today. I feel so bad for the company that just recently hired me … I’ve been gone more days then I’ve been at work, or at least it seems like that.
Al had swim lessons today, but Sher took him … that was a good thing. One less on my plate. Now I have to re-teach her to drive a standard shift car.
I drove up to White River Junction (45 mins.)to my office and then up to Randolph, VT (another 45 mins.) to some work for a client. Besides that, it was a busy day.
While I was gone, Sher took 3 appointments for me. Normally on Tuesdays I’d be doing my radio show and attending a weekly Peace vigil … but I just didn’t have to the energy to do it all.
Maybe next week. Yeah, right!
Unfortunately, as time goes on I feel my legs weakening more and more. Normal mobility is becoming an issue for me and I know it’s not going to last forever. Walking is becoming a challenge. But let’s keep those spirits up …. it ain’t over yet!
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) I kind of have a day off with no doctor appointments, no scheduled talks … no nothing to do with this. My plan is to go to work and have a calm day … that’d be nice for a change
.
Thursday, I go for the last set of scans. These scans determine wether or not this whole operation/surgery takes place … it’s still possible that they don’t do surgery. Of course the outcome of that isn’t promising either … but it possible.
So Thursday’s a big day!
