Cancer Widget/Plugin: Friday, December 11, 2009
Last night I wrote a little widget or Plugin for this web site. I put it in the right-hand column and named it “Bob’s Care For Cancer Tip’s”. Every time a visitor comes to the web site, it grabs a random tip and displays it. I wrote these tips from personal experience and with my personal touch.
Check them out, maybe you know someone with cancer and can suggest some of these tips. When you get into a situation like cancer, your mind often can’t absorb all the things going on around you. Especially when you’re first diagnosed. Like the simple idea of recording your visits with the doctor. A digital recorder is very inexpensive these days and worth a few bucks for it. I used those recordings many times to go back and listen to what they said to be … to be clear on my options … in a sense they were life savers for me.
Also the idea of keeping a journal or blog, record everything, the way you feel each day, what times of day you feels crappy, how much you eat, if your spirits are high or low … it’s important data later on when you want to see what things are changing. Your doctor wants to know too.
Anyway, these are the types of tips I’ve included in my Word Press Plugin.

When it’s full of tips, It’ll be offered it for free (of course), to other folks that are running cancer informative Word Press blogs.
Yep, this is a “kind of plea” for tips that help people get through the cancer experience.
