New Years Day: Friday, January 01, 2010
New Years Eve brought a pretty fun evening! Of course we stayed up way too late (too excited after being on the air) last night and went to sleep about 4 am! But it was fun and relaxing.
The radio show seemed to go pretty smooth, but was difficult to keep up with live guests here at the studio, email, and of course AlienLove forums … I simply couldn’t …. Next week we’ll try and bring the show closer to a format. Although last night, we had an awful lot of fun.
It was great to General Victor Guerremonde and Ali Ben Nossi both live at the studio … but we just couldn’t get enough actual air time … we’ll have to do that again!
It’s the first time I’d been on in about six months and I was nervous … but as soon as I opened my mouth, that nervousness seemed to disappear and it felt like “old hat” again. That’s good … now we’ll try and keep out regular old schedule back up of Tuesday evening at 8:30pm (eastern standard time).
It was wonderful to see online, hear the voices, and read the emails, of all those that regularly listened in, along with bunch of new folks. I hadn’t really checked my email after the first twenty minutes of the show, and didn’t realize I’d been receiving emails from listeners all night!
Thank you to all that listened in, and I hope you enjoyed it … we did, and like I said even though we didn’t get to do, all we wanted to do, we will in the upcoming shows. I’m sure Gen G. will be back to tell us more about what’s going on in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Tuesdays, before our show airs, we’ll also be playing DRS Dave’s “The Prog Show” at 7pm (est). For those that love Progressive music, this is a great show to tune into.
