Here it is, Tuesday night again and I’m trying to rush and write something before going on the airwaves. Obviously, I’ve been extremely busy this past week with all kinds of things, mostly work, and I can say that I have made some progress in catching up with some of it … finally, but there’s more to go.
My job as also gotten busy (we worked two Saturdays this month), and it’s tax time (which effects my job), and we’ve taken on several large projects … so there’s no lack of stuff to do that’s for sure. It’s also tax time for our business and in a few weeks personal tax time … boy, oh boy, the government just loves to chew our time up with taxes. Personally, I think people with life threatening illnesses should be exempt from having to fill out tax papers! … really, I mean that.
I wrote an email to Doc. D. today, requesting that he mail me a prescription that he had offered me last week when I was in Boston (I had declined it when he offered, but changed my mind afterwards), and he immediately wrote back with “it’s in the mail”!
Now that wouldn’t happen here in Vermont … it may take a few weeks to get a reply through email from your Dr.!
I’ve also started to design a database that is focused on medical statistics for both patients and doctors … quite interesting really. I hope to put it into “real world” use sometime in late February on this site and see what kind of tweaks it may need. Hopefully, it will allow a doctor to understand what’s going on long-term with a patient, and let the patient understand what things are changing over time …the trick here is asking the right questions
.
We had a ton of rain and melting snow this past week, and all the streams and rivers are at flood stage or close to it. But they say that winter returns some time this next weekend.
Tonight we’re on the air at 8:30pm till 10:00pm. talking about HealthCare, Taxes, Supreme Court, and Haiti … and lot’s of great tunes.
Health wise, I’ve been feeling pretty good, this week was extra good because the very cold weather seems to have lightened up a bit and so I was struggling to keep warm all the time. I think that’s where a lot of my energy goes (staying warm) causing me to tire out quicker then I would otherwise … that’s a guess, but it makes a lot of sense.
To anyone I have written back to this week … I will, hang in there and you’ll get a reply after tomorrow night.
That’s it for today … have a great night!
Oops … and Ray, hope you’re feeling better soon, we expect you at the studio one of these Tuesday Nights! … Live on the air!
