News Years Eve: Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009
I went to work today for a few hours. As I returned towards Springfield it was snowing like crazy … lot’s of accidents along the highways. I took my time and made it through.
Tonight we’ll be on the airwaves, in which I’m both excited and worried about. It’s been a full six months of down time and I’m not feeling very secure about it. I did call it a “practice run” … although the audience will be real and our guests will be real!
Also feel like I still haven’t found the right music for the evening yet, but that’s another story. The show usually consists of political chit chat with an unusual mix of music from all different genres. We also do a wierd news segment, play snippets that folks have sent in, interview all different kinds of people … it’s a mix. We’ve used this formula for years and it’s what our listeners are accustomed too.
We have a several live guests in the studio this evening (weather permitting) and it should be interesting to say the least
.
Sher and I have been doing this on and off for years now and in the last six months have really been missing it …. it’s our outlet for stress in our world too. Normally we’re on Tuesday evenings at 8:30pm (starting next week)
Anyway, if you’d like to listen in … use one of the links below at 8:30pm (Eastern time) and listen up.

Otherwise, I’ll see you next year!
BTW … glad everyone enjoyed the cartoon yesterday!
and Dave … we’re all ready for you!

Happy New Year, Bob!
If you want to know the truth, it doesn’t matter how well the show goes tonight. The important thing is you’re here to do it! Just imagine, the dynamic duo is back! Could there possibly be a more important social event tonight? Nope, I don’t think so.
Although the traditional good luck wish just before the curtain goes up on Broadway is “break a leg,” we say something slightly different in the radio business. And so, my friend, flip on the microphone and “Bust A Lip!”
Here’s hoping Sher and you (and of course, Alberic) have a new year filled with many blessings. No family deserves it more.
Thanks Ray … I’m getting excited as the time gets closer
.
It is a milestone to think I’m even doing this again … as a matter of fact, I can’t believe it myself
.
Let’s hope this is a New Year filled with good for all!
Thank you.
