Riding Out The Storm (Update 3) – Saturday, August 27, 2011

I was just outside taking a last look around the house and noticed that the clouds were on the move, along with a breeze that feels like it was beginning to pick. My guess is the very outer bands of the storm are about to reach us. Actually, it’s quite lovely outside at the moment and it I didn’t know what was coming I’d have to say it was one of the nicer evenings we’ve had all summer … but of course we know that’ll end soon enough.
The forecast isn’t any better then earlier predictions were today and it appears that we’re directly in the path of the storm. The last time table I heard was that the worst of it will be reaching our area by early Sunday morning … we’ll be waking up to full fledged storm in progress.
I gotten several emails from friends today wishing us the best of luck .. thank you all. Let’s hope all of the north-eastern US is lucky. We’re pretty far inland luckily … I wouldn’t want to be along the coast in this storm.
